Welcome to Grassroots Resilient Stories (or GRStories, for short), a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) in South Africa. We're more than just an organisation - we're a movement, a community, a breathing fabric of voices, dedicated to making a real difference.
And we're not alone. We have a network of grassroots movements fuelling us.
What We Stand For
We’re on a mission, a big one, to live in a way that's fair, just, and ecologically sound. Our focus is to uplift, preserve, and champion the rich cultural, social, and economic traditions that make our world so diverse.

Facilitate networks amongst communities with shared visions for social and community development.
These communities include, but are not limited to, government departments, public institutions, public and private organisations, non-governmental organisations and individual persons.
Facilitate community fundraising structures
Objectives
Primary Objectives
Archive, consolidate and create platforms for indigenous and marginalised stories, cultures and art.
Preserve sociocultural and economic traditions and ensure their resilience and resistance to injustices.
Embrace and celebrate the progressive cultural and social traditions and practices that are normally undermined and/or unrepresented by the status quo.
Advocate for free speech, freedom of association and justice for all.
Secondary Objectives
Support organising of community groups
Support community funding processes
Promote harmony and unity between dissimilar individuals or groups
Advocate for the rights, interests of marginalized and oppressed communities
